Our Founder’s Story
John Chapman, President and Founder of JASA Inc, knows firsthand how quickly a family can face the challenges of homelessness. When he found himself searching for every opportunity to create stability for his daughters, he discovered the power of having a helping hand toward productivity and independence.
John believes everyone deserves that same boost—the opportunity to be helped, trained, educated, and guided toward the independence needed to sustain their family. This belief inspired the creation of the Johnny Apple Seed Association, Inc.
Just as the original Johnny Appleseed (1774-1845) walked across America planting apple seeds to feed people and make a difference in their lives, our John Chapman carries forward that legacy with a mission of “Sowing the Seed to Those in Need.”
